Are you a morning person or a night owl? Do you like to get up early and start your day with a workout, or would you rather wind down at the end of the day with some exercise? These questions can help you determine whether you should exercise in the morning or at night.

Should You Exercise in the Morning or Night?

The truth is, there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to whether you should exercise in the morning or at night. It ultimately comes down to what works best for you and your schedule.

Morning Exercise

There are some benefits to exercising in the morning. For one, it can help give you an energy boost for the rest of the day. Exercise can also help boost your mood and mental clarity. And if you tend to be more of a night person, getting your workout out of the way in the morning can help you sleep better at night.

On the other hand, there are also some drawbacks to exercising in the morning. For example, if you’re not a morning person, getting yourself out of bed and to the gym can be tough. Some people also find their gym is busier at this time of day so they’d rather go when it’s quieter.

Night Exercise

Just like there are benefits to exercising in the morning, there are also benefits to exercising at night. For one, you may have more energy at night than in the morning. Exercise can also help you sleep better at night by promoting deep sleep. And if you find that you’re more productive at night, working out later in the day may help you get more out of your workout.

Of course, there are also some drawbacks to exercising at night. For one, exercising too close to bedtime can make it harder to fall asleep. Motivating yourself to work out after a long day can also be more difficult. If you do decide to exercise at night, be sure to give yourself enough time to wind down before bed.

So, what’s the answer?

Should you exercise in the morning or night? In the end, the best time to exercise is… whenever it works with your schedule and when you feel most comfortable doing it. If you have trouble motivating yourself in the morning, working out at night may be a better option for you. But if you find that you have more energy in the morning, an early workout may be the way to go. Whichever time of day you choose, be sure to stick with it and make exercise a regular part of your daily routine.
